The Coats–Hines–Litchy site (formerly Coats–Hines) is a paleontological site located in Williamson County, Tennessee, in the Southeastern United States. The site was formerly believed to be archaeological, and identified as one of only a very few locations in Eastern North America containing evidence of Paleoindian hunting of late Pleistocene proboscideans. Excavations at the site have yielded portions of four mastodon skeletons, including portions of one previously described as being in direct association with Paleoindian stone tools.

The John Henry Carothers House, also known as Ezeal Carothers House, is a property in Franklin, Tennessee that was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989. When listed the property included four contributing buildings, two contributing structures, and two non-contributing buildings, on an area of 26 acres (11 ha). The house is a one-and-a-half-story limestone farmhouse constructed by John Henry Carothers in 1937 with help from his son, Ezeal Carothers, following a house plan that was purchased.

It was deemed "a fine example of Middle Tennessee's early brick vernacular farmhouse with added Greek Revival detailing." The main portion of the house was built c.1816 and a two-story "T-plan" addition was added in c.1855. It includes Greek Revival architecture.

Roper's Knob Fortifications were constructed by Union Army forces between February and May 1863 in Franklin, Tennessee. According to Tennessee Archaeology, "Roper's Knob served as part of a chain of signal stations that provided a communications link from Franklin to Murfreesboro. Additionally the knob had a large redoubt capable of holding four large artillery pieces, a blockhouse, cisterns, and a magazine.
