Gönül Bridge (Turkish: Gönül Köprüsü), also known as Cunda Bridge (Turkish: Cunda Köprüsü) is a 300 m (980 ft) long solid-arch bridge that crosses the Ayvalık Bay in Ayvalık, Turkey. The bridge connects mainland Anatolia to Lale Island, which in turn connects to Cunda Island via the Ayvalık Strait Bridge. The bridge replaced a causeway, built in 1964, in order to open up natural water flow into the Aegean Sea.

The Ayvalık Strait Bridge (Turkish: Ayvalık Boğaz Köprüsü), also known as 15 Eylül Bridge, is a bridge crossing the Dolap Strait in Ayvalık, Balıkesir Province, western Turkey. It connects Cunda Island with Lale Island and, by extension, the town of Ayvalık on the mainland. It has been dubbed The first strait bridge in Turkey (Boğaz Köprüsü) since it predates the Bosphorus Bridge in Istanbul (1970), which has a famous nickname as Strait Bridge.

Nasos (Ancient Greek: Νᾶσος) was a town and polis (city-state) of ancient Aeolis. The place-name "Nesos Pordoselene" (Νεσος Πορδοσελήνε) appears in the list of tributes to ancient Athens of the year 422/1 BC but there are different opinions on whether Nesos (or Nasos) and Pordoselene were a single city or if they are two different cities. On the other hand, the nickname "nasiotas" (Νασιώτας) appears in an inscription of Adramyttium dated to 319-317 BC. Silver and bronze coins dating from the 4th century BC are preserved.
